We reviewed the latest model of the Moto G Play when it was released in January of 2023 and felt that it was a solid entry in the budget smartphone genre, saying “nothing about it looks or feels cheap” and that it could pass for a higher-end phone under many circumstances. Make no mistake, this isn’t a powerhouse for gaming or streaming, but for the basics it will do the job.
