Slide into spooky season with free Amazon Music Unlimited streaming.

New subscribers with a Prime membership can enjoy a complimentary four-month, ad-free trial of Amazon Music Unlimited or Amazon Music HD. Note that when you click the offer link, Prime members may see a 30-day offer; refresh to get the four-month offer.

Once the free period ends, subscriptions for Prime members automatically renew at a monthly cost of $9.99 ($10.99 for non-Prime users). Music Unlimited is not included with a Prime membership. You can tap into Amazon Music Prime, which offers shuffle play on Amazon’s streaming library, but you’ll need to upgrade to Music Unlimited for on-demand listening.

PCMag calls Amazon Music Unlimited a “great all-rounder for streaming audio” across web browsers, mobile devices, and the company’s smart-home lineup. Choose from more than 100 million songs and dozens of stations—classical, rock, hip-hop, video game soundtracks, fan covers, and more—and access karaoke-like lyrics that scroll in time with the song. There are four plans available:

  • Individual Plan: This plan allows a 4-month free trial (3 months for non-Prime member) and includes ad-free listening, most ad-free podcasts, offline listening, and unlimited skips.

  • Family Plan: New subscribers also get a 4-month free trial, whether or not you have Prime, for up to six people. This plan renews at $16.99/month.

  • Single Device Plan: This plan works on an eligible Echo or Fire TV device. It costs just $4.99/month after a 30-day trial. We sometimes see this plan bundled with an Echo device.

  • Student Plan: Much like with an Amazon Prime subscription, students can save a bundle on an Amazon Music Unlimited plan, which will set you back $5.99/month. You must be enrolled at an accredited college or university to qualify

For even better music streams, check out Amazon Music HD. Tunes come in HD (16-bit at 44.1kHz), Ultra HD (24-bit at 192kHz), and even 3D Audio (including some mixed in Dolby Atmos and Sony 360RA). To truly experience the higher-quality sound provided by Amazon Music HD, Amazon recommends a 1.5Mbps-or-higher internet connection and headphones or speakers that support a dynamic range of 20kHz+ for HD, or 40kHz+ for Ultra HD.

Podcast lovers also benefit: Subscribers who love podcasts such as My Favorite Murder, Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!, and Stuff You Should Know won’t have to venture elsewhere for new episodes. Amazon Music Unlimited also features exclusive, original programming hosted by celebs including DJ Khaled, Becky G, Will Smith, and Dan Patrick.

Music Unlimited subscribers can upgrade to HD for free anytime. As an added perk, Amazon Music users across all tiers can stream podcasts for free on mobile, web, and Echo devices.

If you’re looking to upgrade your Echo device, meanwhile, there’s a good chance they’ll be on sale for Amazon’s second Prime Day in 2023, which is scheduled for Oct. 10-11.
